JWVA Officers

Dallas native Jo Reingold has always put her passion for Jewish education and philanthropy to work for the Jewish community. She was an elementary school teacher and youth director for 29 years,  taught Hebrew school for 26 years, and has also taught Israeli and ballroom dancing and piano lessons.

       She has devoted her adult life to various volunteer projects and being active in numerous organizations. Jo is a past President of the Dallas Chapter of Hadassah and Greater Southwest Region Board member for over 16 years. She is active in NCJW and on the Exec Board of the Dallas Jewish Historical Society. She has worked with Meals on Wheels, Southwest Jewish Congress and the Texas Jewish Historical Society.

       Jo has been Dallas President of her Ladies Auxiliary of the JWV 256 for 4 years and was Junior VP and Senior VP on the National level. She loves the work we do helping our veterans and has been the VAVS representative and deputy rep. for 4 years. Coincidentally, Veterans Day is her birthday! She also finds time to be involved with her Neighborhood Association and Secretary of her Crime Watch area.

       The theatre, dancing, singing, traveling and playing with her twin dogs are all hobbies she enjoys. Jo has been married to David since 1997, but they have known each other from their synagogue since they were about 9 years old! Each year they take a BIG trip overseas and plan on continuing that custom for as long as they are able. Jo stays very busy and balances it all!
